Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Alex. The purpose of this site is to provide a place for me to share the things that I am working on and to develop myself as a writer and to help others do the same as I develop a body of writing and more broadly a body of thought. As a resident of the United States, most the political posts that I make that are rooted to any specific place will be rooted there. I also ought to mention here that I am politically left-leaning but have had trouble finding an accurate term for my beliefs. The closest that I have come to is something along the lines of Libertarian Socialist or something of the like. I am open to respectful comments and criticism and look forward to engage in thoughtful discussions with all of you.

Site Introduction by Category:
About: This category should be pretty self-explanatory by this point. It’s a brief evolving introduction to me and to this site. The contents will change somewhat as the rest of the site does.
Fiction and Writing: In this category will be broadly two sorts of post. The primary one will be essays on and discussions of writing – mostly writing fiction – as well as on fiction more generally. The second type of post here will be some of my actual fiction. This will mostly mean sketches, vignettes, and snippets as well as things which I do not intend to send out for publication.
Reviews and Commentaries: In this category I will post reviews and less structured comments and commentaries on the books, movies, television programs, and videogames.
Politics and Beliefs: In this category will fall political comments, commentaries, and essays. The reason why I include “beliefs” in the tab header is due to the way which I personally define “politics.” An elaboration on this subject will be one of the first posts under that heading.
Thoughts and Things: In this category will fall the occasional things which I do not believe fit neatly into any of the other categories listed above. This might mean anything.
Archive: In this category will be an unorganized collection of all posts on the site.
